IC Title Match: Jeff Hardy (C) def. Shelton Benjamin in 9:30

After watching a dreadful Unforgiven 2007, I figured I’d watch a title not represented on that show and hope for a better result. Both worked this a little more old-school than you’d think, while later moving into the more athletic spots you’d expect. Benjamin was underrated for toning his style down in specific ways as a heel, which has always made him very effective. He knows how to work to get heat. It’s always tough to remember Hardy’s chemical state while you’re watching him, but I don’t remember him being in a bad way here. It was a little clunky and looked a little too contrived when Hardy pushed Shelton off the top and won with a swnton, but it’s a good match otherwise. This was better than anything else on Undorgiven, outside of the tag title match. **3/4
