CM Punk def. Chris Hero in 19:06

Man, these guys looked like fucking babies compared to now, although this was a quarter century ago. This was the first match ever between the two, and, of course, they worked in a comedy spot where Hero was grappling with Dave Prazak. You can probably see more in Punk than in Hero that he had to figure out how to take out a couple of spots that didn’t look very good. For instance – and ironically – Punk hit a FUCKING buckshot lariat of all moves. They tried a spot with both on the top ropes that looked like it got too complicated, and Punk dropped Hero. Of all fucking moves, Punk wins with a FUCKING PEDIGREE off the top. This was ironic and didn’t look the best on top of it. There’s some fun comedy and good wrestling here, but these two were still learning their craft. **1/2
