The Great Muta def. Scott Hall in 5:41
This was in the era of “Gator” Scott Hall, a shitty moniker her briefly had in WCW during this 1989 run, where he also looked poor in the ring on top of it. Hall had already been AWA World Tag Team Champion with Curt Hennig, but was still treated like a newcomer when he came in, despite the national TV history and a slight resemblance to Tom Selleck’s Magnum PI. They didn’t have much more than a squash match for Muta, but Hall did manage an offensive sequence that looked terrible. I couldn’t tell if it was Hall, Muta, or both, but they fucked up a beel out of the corner something fierce. Hall hit two dropkicks before Muta got all the way to his feet, then they fucked up a clothesline where it looked like Hall was trying to clothesline Muta over the top, but he went through the ropes instead. Muta misted Hall during the match (the ref didn’t question Hall’s red face; maybe he thought he was embarrassed by the match) and won with a karate thrust to the throat. Man, this was a bad match between two all-time greats. *
