The Context

Here we have AJ Styles, in a short clip, talking about his brief time working in WCW. He claimed to have so much heat with Kidman over using the shooting star press that Kidman dubbed him, “AJ Steals.” Styles said he came up with the spiral tap because he didn’t want to do the shooting star while he was there, and wanted to do something Kidman couldn’t do. At the end of the clip, AJ points out Kidman wasn’t even doing the shooting star press anymore when he came into WCW.

Analysis

Well, who would have guessed it in 2001 when Kidman’s career looked so promising, but I find it funny that AJ’s career ended up far surpassing Kidman’s. Also, the two worked together in WWE after the whole AJ Steals story described here.
