WWF Title Match: Randy Savage (C) def. Ted DiBiase by CO at 6:49 

I figured after watching a horrendous 1988 WWF house show yesterday, I’d check in with two of the better workers on the WWF roster. This match was held right before the Megapowers vs. Megabucke match at Summerslam, and the second title match between the two in Boston—Savage beat DiBiase by DQ the month before. The action was fast, but also incredibly short. DiBiase started working over Savage’s knee early, and it seemed like it might be one of those Savage performances where he sells forever and then eeks one out, but the finish didn’t come too long after. They were fighting on the floor. Savage gave DiBiase an atomic drop, posting Ted, then Savage slid in for the surprise countout win. The action was good while it lasted, especially when DiBiase bumped around to start, but this was a horrendous fucking finish after a Savage DQ win in their first match in the building and only six minutes to boot. *1/2
