The Context

In this clip, we have Shane McMahon being interviewed by Mick Foley, who asks about his relationship with Triple H. Mick asks Shane if he would describe the relationship as strong, and Shane responds, “With Paul? He makes my sister happy, and I’m very happy he does that.” Mick says it sounds evasive, and Shane gets a little defensive, saying it’s the truth.

Analysis

A cop once told me to be careful whenever someone answers a potentially uncomfortable question with a question because that person is probably lying. The “with Paul?” answer was already a bit of a red flag, but the way Shane smiles when he says he’s happy Hunter is making his sister happy basically poured a little gasoline on the fire—very interesting stuff.
