The Context 

This clip took place on Bret’s live audio show in 2011. Bret prank-called Flair (the full segment js available elsewhere), and Ric went absolutely ballistic. While screaming and yelling at Bret, Flair sounds borderline like an obscene phone call because he’s breathing so hard with rage. You can hear him seethe through the receiver. Flair told Bret he was part of “The Clique” and threatened to call Hunter and kill his deal with WWE. When Shawn Michaels’ name comes up, Bret says Shawn told him that Flair was an old drunk who couldn’t go anymore. Bret also tells Flair that he’s in the depths of hell because he’s in TNA. Ric sounded like he really wanted to bury the hatchet with Bret and said he guesses they never will. As the segment continued, Flair dropped the iconic line: “You sold sunglasses, I sold tickets.” Flair ended the segment with a series of expletives that sounded like he was a character from a Scorsese movie with Tourette’s. This has to be heard if you have never. If you already did, listen again to brighten your day.
