WWC Universal Heavyweight Title Tournament First Round Match: Terry Funk def. Barry Windham in 14:15 

This match was so fucking awesome. Funk, not surprisingly, was a fucking madman early, posting the young pup, Windham, and giving him a piledriver on the floor. He mixed in crazy Terry and was launching chairs into the ring from the floor, and funny Terry as he did a teeter-totter spot on the top rope, so he was clicking on all cylinders. The junior Texan got all fired up, and not only returned the earlier posting, but gave Funk a first piledriver on the floor, then one to grow on. Barry pounded the wrestling legend on the floor with some good-looking right hands, and that was the one spot that made me wish we had some juice here. Windham had Funk covered after his patented lariat, and Terry got his feet on the ropes, but Barry celebrated anyway. I wonder what the record is in pro wrestling history for guys who have done that spot? Of course, Funk got a cheap roll-up win. This match was tremendous, and the crowd was awesome. ****
