Christopher Love was a very solid “B” as the color guy here on the C show. God bless Bert Prentice. The Craig Johnson and Scott Hudson team wasn’t bad, but it also badly lacked the personality you’d want from one of your commentators at the time. Having Love crack jokes and call Craig “honey” the whole show added quite a bit to the bland broadcasts. Not to mention the sexual innuendos he snuck in between jabs to Johnson.

Notable for this video is that the main event between Handsome Stranger and Bill Irwin was cut off about three minutes in, but let’s assume the virgin won.

The Giant Paul Bunyan won a handicap match and largely embarrassed pro wrestling as a whole. The man had zero charisma and even less ability. Even as a giant, instead of looking like a threatening monster, he looked like a goofy mess.

Main Event was the GWF C show, even below Challenge in the company’s syndicated package. There was a lot of solidly below-average wrestling (aside from the shittiness of Paul Bunyan) that didn’t advance any programs or anything. There’s no need to see this.

This show was the first time we saw the Lightning Kid with Tessa. She was gone not too long after, which is a shame. They were really good together, and I love the idea of the smaller Kid having a valet. 

The main event was one of the company’s best televised matches up until that point. Sean Waltman really was the best performer in this promotion.

Christopher Love did a promo with the PYTs (Randy Rhodes & Eric Fontaine) and Steven Dane. Apparently, Dane joined with them along the way. Bert was very good here. He would also be leaving shortly.

Not much since this was a show showing random unaired matches that were mostly squashes. Even with the promos, they aired a fan asking Axl Rotten a question, despite Rotten being gone from the promotion for over a month. Besides the results listed, they aired a lot of the light heavyweight tournament, but not any part of the finals, the best match in the promotion’s history. Who the fuck put this together?

There wasn’t even a match that climbed to average. Tatum cut a funny promo putting over his karate skills. Other than that, this was a waste. Even the tag match that got time showed Young & Adias winning, despite both being gone or that time coming up very soon.
