Shawn Michaels def. Rad Radford in 9:32

Here we have Louie Spicolli in his jobber to the stars role- grunge enthusiast Rad Radford. When Todd Pettengil said the only thing these two had in common was wrestling boots, I surmised he never saw the two men pounding pills together the way most people do water. Jim Ross and Petengil were talking about Spicolli’s (lack) of hygiene, which would probably be the first time that was regularly a part of someone’s WWF gimmick since Bastion Booger, which is exactly where you don’t want to be. The two friends worked well together, except for a badly fucked up normal Shawn spot where he went to clothesline Radford over the top, only the shorter Louie couldn’t quite make it. Other than that, both men worked hard, and Shawn made Louie’s usual moves look better with his tremendous in-ring ability. They did a clever spot at the end where Louie anticipated the highly telegraphed superkick from Shawn and blocked it, only to turn around and eat another. The second kick didn’t look as good, but I enjoyed the idea and the match overall. **3/4
