The Context

Here we have Jeff Jarrett (a man who’s often rewriting history) calling out Eric Bischoff for rewriting history on his podcast with Conrad Thompson. As Jeff noted, Eric also does a podcast with Conrad, so Jeff began by saying he would be respectful of that relationship.

Jeff talked a lot about how he’s turned his life around through rigorous honesty, and he spoke at length on that topic in this clip. He referenced that because he didn’t think Eric was being honest. The main news here is that when Conrad asked what Jeff had to say in response to Eric saying he had no power in TNA, Jeff couldn’t have disagreed more. Jeff asks who brought in Orlando Jordan, the Nasty Boys, and other new talent when Hogan and Bischoff came in, if it wasn’t them.

Jeff says ultimately, Dixie Carter made decisions and even if she took advice, even that was her decision. But Jarrett (while trying to keep his cool) can’t believe Bischoff took no responsibility.

Analysis

You could see on Jarrett’s face that he wasn’t working, and this issue was important to him. His question about the roster changes was the most poignant. As much as we’d like to believe the Nasties were haggling for better financial terms for eight years with the TNA brass, it did seem like Hogan did his buddies a solid. In fact, six guys who worked the Hulkamania Australia tour in 2009 came into TNA right away with Hulk (Ken Anderson, Ric Flair, Val Venis, Orlando Jordan, and the Nasties).
