10/29/2001 WXW: Kidman def. Low Ki in 6:40. Ki had already won the Super 8 this year, and Kidman was one of the early Internet darlings in WCW, so it had a new school vs. old school vibe. Kidman was working for the WWF in the Invasion at the time of this match, but sadly, this was Yokozuna’s memorial show. Both men worked at a really fast pace, so much so that it felt rushed, and a lot didn’t resonate because of the amount of time they were given. Other than a powerbomb into a hotshot, mostly everything looked good, but it didn’t feel like it meant much. They did a finish where Kidman ran the heel Low Ki into his manager, and got a roll-up for the win. I don’t mind the 80s finish for a match, but I don’t like it for these two. I wish they’d had more time to slow down, because it had its fun parts. **1/2
