Here we have Scott Steiner, live on national television in front of millions of people, on WCW Monday Nitro.
Among other things, Scott talks about Flair and “all his bastard friends” running all the people out of WCW that went on to be world champions in the WWF, except for one guy (The Rock). As if that weren’t enough, Steiner said being a fourteen-time world champion didn’t mean shit (yes, on 2000 wrestling television), and pulled out a pair of fake bad teeth to imitate Flair. He also noted that the last time he did this to Flair (yes, this was a pattern), Flair went and complained and got him suspended. If I’m not mistaken, hard ass WCW suspended Scott with pay, so he may have owed Flair a thank you. All of this led to the surprise return of Shane Douglas (whom the announcers say left with Benoit and Malenko), who lays out Flair and begins pounding on him. Scott gave zero fucks about this wrestling angle or the big reveal, and continued to verbally lay into Flair while Douglas was still hitting Flair, who was selling it like he was knocked out. Unreal, but probably the hardest to believe is that this company lasted almost a full year after this debacle.
