Moadib def. Chaz Taylor in 5:14
I’m unsure of the date, but I believe it’s accurate. Holy shit, was the future Ahmed Johnson fucking green. And I’m not talking about the emerald genie pants he wore since Skandar Aknar managed him. Moadib was constantly out of position, and it made many of the moves or strikes from either man look bad. Crybaby Buxton called Moadib “a soearchucker” at one point, and they were both heels. Yes, times are different now, but this would have been an issue in 1994 if anyone had actually been watching this fucking promotion. Moadinlb looked like he had almost murdered poor Chaz with a press slam early on. In a moment, I can hear Michael Cole calling “vintage Ahmed Johnson.” Chaz tried to work a simple big man match for the rookie, where Moadib couldn’t sell and hit some power moves, but he was asking too much of the big man. They went to a commercial right when Chaz rolled out of the way of a top rope splash. By the time they came back, we were back to Chaz not getting in any offense. Moadib started to the top rope and worked the crowd while taking forever to get there. It seemed like they had to be setting up Chaz rolling out of the way of his cocky opponent, but nope, we got a flying headbutt and a pin after an eternity. Moadib did some cool shit, like an awesome back suplex off the second rope and getting great height on a leg drop so that you could see the athleticism and potential. But it never clicked for poor Ahmed in the ring, and he was the absolute shits here against a solid hand. DUD
