The Context

Paul London told a story on Renee Dupree’s podcast about Bubba Ray Dudley picking on him after a late-night conversation with Renee Dupree, which also set Dupree off in this clip. Renee called him “Blubber Dudley,” and London called Bubba a “fat fuck” and later compared his tongue to that of Jabba the Hutt’s. Dupree asked London if he had ever seen Bubba take a shower because Sylvan Grenier theorized that Bubba was an insecure, obese man who took it out on others. That one may have hurt the most because it was rooted in psychology and not a garden-variety insult. London also recounted offending Undertaker when he turned down a drink with the vet in a different instance, only for Bubba to have the wrestlers charge all their tabs to London’s room at a hotel to appease Taker. 

Analysis 

It’s hard not to believe stories of Bubba being a dick because there are so many of them, but London is hardly the most reliable source for honesty. I can see him calling the conversation between London and Dupree “romantic” as described because he seems like the type to turn everything into a childish attack on someone’s sexuality. London, referring to Taker as a “mafia boss” because of some of his antics, also seems to jive with some of the tales we’ve heard. The thing I question most is probably a bunch of wrestlers’ bar bills, only adding up to $500. That seems relatively low.
