This was in Germany, so Bret was a heavy favorite, probably even more so than if this was in the States. This was a pretty bland match, but you could see some of Hunter’s athleticism start coming through at this point in his career. It started pretty slow with Bret continually working a headlock and Hunter working the arm, but it picked up during Bret’s five moves of doom. Out of nowhere, Bret just started beating the shit out Hunter in the corner while Trips was upside down like he had a preminion about Montreal. The ref tried to stop, but Bret launched him across the ring for a lame DQ. When it started getting good, we had the stupid finish. **1/2
