Dean Malenko, Cactus Jack & 2 Cold Scorpio def. The Steiners & Eddie Guerrero in 17:05

This match was so fucking fun; everyone was working their asses off, including Scott Steiner, who took a suplex from the ring to the FLOOR from Malenko. I mean, Cactus is Cactus, so he hits the floor multiple times, but Scott Steiner is taking a vicious suplex from someone the size of one of his thighs. As good as everyone was in this match, no one was in Eddie’s league. Everything he did was so fucking smooth. He took the heat, and everyone’s stuff looked so good. Scorpio messed up one spot pretty severely, but he was starting to come into his own before an incredible 1996 for him, before Flash Funk came along. Rick came back like a fucking madman with some awesome-looking Steinerlines that looked to lack respect for his opponents. They did spots where the Steiners would set up a opposing team member on their shoulders, and Eddie would hit a move from the top, climaxing with Eddie giving Malenko a Frankensteiner. It was off because it appeared Dean didn’t take the bump, but no one cared because this match was so much fucking fun. Joey Styles, who couldn’t help but give the finish away by saying Eddie was about to win, then called the “surprise” Malenko roll up to end it. This match had a couple of missed highspots but was very good overall. ***3/4
